How to Get a Response from God

We need to use our ego to reveal the Creator.

Our ego, meaning our great ‘will to receive’ is required to attain the Creator.

This is how we advance to reveal the Creator to the created being.

We cannot reveal the Creator if we don’t discover our ego.

Because it is precisely our ego that highlights the Creator for us.

It reveals Him 620 times more than the way it was to begin with inside of us.

How Do We Do This?

We need to discover that we are on the path by annulling our ego.

And that we can’t, because the Creator is holding it.

He created it and won’t let us run away from it.

He constantly applies pressure to it.

He manipulates it in us so that we have to be egoists all the time.

We have to think of ourselves. We can’t think of anyone else.

I can be concerned about someone else. And if I do it for a moment in my mind … the next moment it escapes and I return to the way I was.

I only think about my ego, about myself.

And nothing else.

After years of effort we become frustrated with the futility of it all.

When Prayer Is The Only Option

Here we have a means that we have not spoken of yet, called prayer.

We have nothing to turn to the Creator with, except to raise our deficiency.

We can bring it closer to the Creator, and demand to correct our deficiency if we need to — and fill it.

And only in this way can we succeed.

When we reach a point where we say, “What should I do? I can’t. So I’ll leave everything and give up.”

This is where a person reaches the breaking of the heart.

In Kabbalah, we have a saying: Nothing Is More Whole Than A Broken Heart

That from this shattering, from this heaviness and despair — that we don’t want anything anymore.

I don’t want anything and curse the day I came to the wisdom of Kabbalah.

The teacher, the group, and obviously the Creator too.

I just want to go back to the life of a beast and not feel anything.

And because I invested so much effort in the past, and I still belong, and am still connected to the purpose of creation, I remember (thanks to the Creator sending the thought) that I didn’t try to ask from Him.

I may have asked, but it wasn’t a real request.

But if I organize things correctly and truly reach the breaking of the heart, knowing I have nothing but this — I beg, scream and cry— but it has to be the correct cry.

Because the whole world is crying, and truly crying from their heart. But not the same heart that is worthy of correction.

Is Your Heart Worthy?

The egoistic heart isn’t worthy of correction.

The egoistic heart is pushed even more into the ego.

Until it will be despaired from its ego to attain anything.

That’s why we need to organize a prayer.

And with this request, that we truly raise from the most inner place of the heart …

We have to know how to activate it.

We reach a state, where the Creator cannot say no.

We reach such a state, where we have no choice but to ask.

And He doesn’t have a choice, but to answer that request for us.

Chinese Group during Asian Convention December 7, 2019

The above intro to the third lesson with Michael Laitman from our Asian Convention this weekend, may explain why there are always unusual occurrences at our conventions:

  • A sudden tropical storm in the desert, causes everyone to meet in the only dry area in the camp — the big main tent where the convention was taking place.
  • A pipe bursting in a US hotel and starting a flood, causes everyone to meet in the only dry area — the hall where the convention was taking place.

We have many war stories from our gatherings — flights being delayed, luggage lost, entry to a country being denied, visas being impossible to attain and suddenly being approved for no logical reason. But we are experienced enough to know at this stage that all these occurrences are only sent to remind us to focus on our connection. And the best way to do that is to pray for the friends. To pray for the advancement of others. Of course we are not fooling anyone and do this for egoistic reasons. But when we all do it together with great earnest — our prayer is answered and we all move onto the next stage of the game — together, as a far more cohesive unit than in the previous stage.
