Shining Brighter in 2020

How can we all shine brighter in 2020? The answer of course, is by helping our friends shine. If we do everything with the intention of lifting others, we will never be short of anything. And as a result, we will all advance efficiently together, and get a lot more done than we could ever dream of doing on our own.

This is why the most important phrase in the bible that actually sums up our entire purpose is “Love thy friend as thyself”. Yes friends, we are in professional church!

“It is certain that if six hundred thousand men abandon their work for the satisfaction of their own needs and worry about nothing but standing guard so their friends will never lack a thing, and moreover, that they will keep it with a mighty love, with their very heart and soul, in the full meaning of the commandment, “Love thy friend as thyself,” then it is beyond doubt that no man of the nation will need to worry about his own well being.” Baal HaSulam

In our HumansFirst meeting yesterday, I loved the way Mike Sr. Vacanti talked about knowing we can all count on each other to keep us on the path, and remind us what’s most important. How no amount of money could ever compare with that.

He mentioned ‘getting out of the way’, to make room for others to take things forward. And that if someone gets stuck, how we can “grab their hand, pause and go back for them. If that belief exists — imagine what’s possible. Rachel will come back and make sure my goggles are clear. She’ll lift the fog around me.” ( I was a little foggy myself yesterday if you noticed friends!)

Mike said that after Rachel Druckenmiller stunned us all by reading Our Deepest Fear, By Marianne Williamson:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us;
It’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

So the new trick that humanity needs to learn now in 2020, is how we can all shine here together, without minimizing ourselves in any way. It’s not necessary. There is a better way.

On Marianne’s Wikipedia page it says: “Each of us has a unique part to play in the healing of the world”. And that is exactly what we are doing in these HumansFirst meetings. We all fuel up in the center of the group every week, and use that fuel to start healing our part of the world. It’s an incredible mission to be on together. And we all feel quite humbled to have been chosen for it.

The subject of our meeting was —

What an incredible topic! Time flew by as we were discussing it.

We are all here because we are very passionate about generating a significant shift in society. We may have different people on the call every week, we may each go about this differently, we may not have a long-term plan or strategy — but one thing is for sure: When we’re together, there is a special type of energy that we can’t get anywhere else.

Linda — “This is a beautiful example of how alike we are. This is how souls are supposed to operate …”.

Brian — “Same energy every time — feels like family.”

Kevin Monroe — “Where do we go to get refueled ? Our work can be very draining. So as Terell said once — this is professional church. It’s a different group every week — but same energy every time. We co-create this together. What you bring with you every time — it is truly remarkable.

Arlene Mendoza talked about the book Educated, which gave her many new insights about family & values, and how to create a shift in your mindset when you disagree with your family: “Hit me hard about community/mindset — the power of our beliefs …”.

I love the way so many friends shared further reading and other forms of entertainment that are helping spread these important concepts. Rachel even shared a musical, Come From Away, where the message is all about doing for others.

When we focus on lifting others, we are tapping into a new source of fuel, an infinite abundance, that humanity has yet to discover. How do we receive the abundance? By becoming similar in our traits to the source. The more we correct our desires away from ourselves, to doing for the friends — the more abundance we will receive. We have come to a stage where all of humanity must learn how to receive more and more in this manner.

Many profound things were said in yesterdays’s call and I didn’t catch it all — but Teresa said that Scott Jones spoke about having hope for others. It’s incredible how the newbies always bring the most light with them every single time!

Shelley talked about us being able to trip those thoughts/masks/false identities, so we can stand in our own authenticity. And how this is what connects us to humanity. (Stunning statement Shelley!)

Jaspel decided to join our community and help us all rise together.

Mark — “Give of yourself even if you think you’re not ready ….”
